New drinking establishment on Match days
SO when we get to the new stadium, what drinking establishments are going to take over from the old favourites?

What is the new Boleyn, Queens, Central, D of E etc and what away pub.....

Each pub has their own type of supporter going there and it will be interesting to see where everyone then starts going.

Think The Eagle is still going, in Stratford. Not sure what that's like now.

If they created a 1000 yard queue at Stratford station that would make 10,000 fans leave 20 minutes early to try and avoid the queue.... has anyone thought of that?

O2 sponsored beer at £2 a pint at the Emirates after the match for the first couple of seasons after it opened.

Re: New drinking establishment on Match days
yeah cant see how they can retain anyone unless the beer is offered at a substantial discount to what you can get it for in the pubs.

Where? Got any info

Used to like the Manbey, been shut for a couple of years, thought it was destined for more flats.

Re: New drinking establishment on Match days
Oh i see, youre not talking about NFL playing there, just about ways of retaining fans before and after the game. That's a fair point and something that is gone over in the planning documents, where beer promotions, highlights, show before and after the game are all mentioned as ways of making fans trickle in and out rather than the usual rush.

What's that got to do with anything Gavros?

Anticipatio is that moment right before you throw plastic garden chairs around in a boozed up holligan rage.

That wouldnt be the club's job anyway (it'd be the LLDC's in conjunction with the license operator) but it's been rumoured for some time that the NFL feel that the OS does not offer the right environment for American Football, given the shallowness of the stand rakes. That's why SPurs are pushing ahead with a new design that fits both football and american handegg.

" anticipatio' "

Loads of starter courses?

Re: New drinking establishment on Match days
'Someone' at the club has been asked to investigate how American Football teams entertain fans before a game (i.e. tailgate parties etc...).

They want fans to be in and around the ground early and create 'a real atmosphere loaded with anticipatio'.

I'll keep you informed.

.... yes and they are going to check you pants for skid marks. Don't want their new white seats soiled.

I like Tap East, but it's tiny. The whole of Westfield should be avoided on matchday, imo.
